Ethical Intelligence for the Industrial Transition
EcoIQ is an AI-assisted platform that scores companies, industries, and countries on their readiness for the ethical and environmental transition. We combine public data, AI analysis, and a structured ethical framework to help investors, governments, and companies act with clarity.
Our Mission
Heavy industry — oil & gas, manufacturing, chemicals, metals — accounts for the majority of global emissions and employs hundreds of millions of people. These sectors cannot be simply shut down. They must be transformed.
EcoIQ was built to accelerate that transformation by making ethical performance visible, comparable, and actionable. We believe that transparency creates accountability, and that accountability creates change.
Our mission is to provide the most rigorous, publicly available ethical intelligence on industrial companies — so that capital flows to companies doing the hard work of genuine modernisation, not just those best at greenwashing.
The EcoIQ Framework
Every EcoIQ score is built from six dimensions, each grounded in a different aspect of long-term ethical value creation. The framework draws on principles of public stewardship, responsible governance, and evidence-based improvement that have proven durable across economies and cultures.
The EcoIQ Mizan Engine
EcoIQ does not only ask whether a project reduces emissions. It asks whether the transition is transparent, balanced, fair, evidence-based and beneficial to society.
The Mizan Engine is EcoIQ's ethical assessment layer — a structured evaluation that sits beneath the headline score and asks deeper questions about how transition activity creates or destroys value for people, communities, and future generations. Every company profile is evaluated across six dimensions:
Our Principles
EcoIQ's design is guided by five commitments we hold to be non-negotiable, regardless of commercial pressure:
The Founder
EcoIQ was founded in London to address a gap that became impossible to ignore: the world's most polluting industries were being evaluated by financial metrics alone. Transition was discussed in policy papers but rarely quantified at the company level.
Alizhan Tazabekov
Alizhan built EcoIQ after recognising that industrial transition requires both rigorous data and an ethical framework that goes beyond carbon accounting. The platform combines his background in industrial systems analysis with a commitment to building tools that serve the public interest — not just shareholders.
alizhan@ecoiq.ukWhat EcoIQ Is Not
We are not an ESG rating agency. Traditional ESG ratings serve financial disclosure. EcoIQ scores ethical performance and industrial transition readiness. These are related but distinct.
We are not a consultancy. We do not accept payment from companies to improve their scores. All scoring is conducted independently, based on publicly available evidence.
We are not infallible. EcoIQ scores are AI-assisted and indicative. They are built from public information, which is often incomplete. We display confidence levels and encourage companies to submit corrections through our profile claim process.
